Exceptional! This boutique hotel is beautifully furnished - the courtyard and rooms are filled with sunlight, hand crafted wooden furniture, fresh coca leaves for tea, etc. The property is super secure with a friendly receptionist manning the front desk all the time. But what we adored most was the friendly staff! Everyone was so friendly, kind, and patient to our toddler boy who regularly explored the courtyard everyday. The housekeeping staff even worked around his nap schedule - one day they made his bed and tucked his foxie lovely into the blankets. We stayed in the Deluxe Room with a king bed, jacuzzi tub, mini fridge, etc - plenty of room for our family of three. The front desk also helped connect with us taxis and tours. The attention to detail and care provided by the staff is extraordinary. We chose this property as it was slightly further from the Plaza de Armas (still walking distance, just a longer walk uphill) to ensure peace and quiet for our family. It's a very tranquil place to stay. Oh, and breakfast is fabulous - fresh fruit, fresh juices, yogurts to be paired with Andean quinoa or cereal, hams and cheeses, rotating local cuisines and veggies, made to order eggs or omelettes, made to order espresso drinks, etc.

The location of this hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the main square in Cusco. It was really easy to walk to the square to shop around, grab food, and explore all Cusco has to offer. In addition our train into Cusco from Machu Picchu was super delayed and I was able to easily communicate with the staff about our late arrival time (early morning hours). Anytime we had a question or needed something the staff was very easy to communicate with and always friendly. They had a nice breakfast area featuring buffet style breakfast. It was also nice that they had breakfast starting as early as 5 a.m. so on early morning we could still grab something. The room itself was spacious and comfy. The shower was a little rough because the glass wall to the shower only covered 1/3rd the length of the shower so a lot of water would come out when showering. Not a deal breaker by any means, but something that was slightly annoying because the floor would get covered with water. Overall, we would highly recommend staying here!

Located in the heart of downtown Cusco only a few blocks from the main square, this hotel offered a distinctive colonial architecture albeit with modern amenities. While we were quite able to handle our own luggage with stairs involved, the hotel does provide assistance to those who need it. Our room was small with an uncovered bathroom( no door), but the fixtures were good with plenty of hot water! Breakfast was excellent with numerous choices and alacarte eggs to order. We contracted for some light laundry service and received a well folded sealed package back the same day for a very reasonable fee. The hotel is also only a few short blocks from the San Pedro market ( one of favorite stops in Cusco)!

Our junior suite was spacious enough for a family of four. I was very impressed by the building's interior. It was spacious and had a beautiful colonial style in excellent condition. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Plaza. The staff were very nice and kind. I chose this hotel because I couldn't reserve a room at another hotel, but I don't regret it! I will choose Tambo del Arriero in the future for our next visit. It's good, clean, beautiful, and offer a fair price!

This was, without a doubt, the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Peru. The hotel is stunning, the room was incredibly spacious and equipped with every comfort, the breakfast was outstanding, and the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Its location is excellent, just a short 10-minute walk to the main square. Everything about our stay was flawless, and my only regret is not having stayed longer!
